How come they didn't ask about Patent protection??? What's to stop GM or Toyota from making their own?

I agree with #(removed comment) BettyZind, there is no engineering advantage to this design over a conventional scooter. And yes, Kevin is the "sleazy, smug capitalist" character on the panel. They are all shrewd businesspeople, but each has their own persona.
