#3 Lol Yup but the average joe does not care one bit about anything remotely interesting , And I can hear in my head if they showed this on the news I know some one who would say "if I wanted science id watch discovery"
This is quite an amazing discovery, but the more we discover the more I think are we alone or, for once please find something different.

This stuff is amazing.
Just for your info: what they see when they are looking at this, are not pictures of planets (too far away) they are looking at how the light spectrum (different frequencies of light) are rotating, or strobing. When the rotations are observed for long periods of time, and they have a quantified signature (digital), a pattern in otherwords, we assume that there are large objects rotating around that star. Of course, it is an educated assumption.
If you listen again you will hear many words like, "at least, they believe, strong reason to believe, suspected, probably, seem to, theoretical ideas". (It's just funny, I can see it now: many people will go tell their friends that we have found planet X!)
'Just have an objective mind when learning about science, not all observations are what they seem.'

In the old days, because we were unable to find clues about other solar systems with planets, some thought that the life was only on the earth.
Now we know life begun here on the earth 4.3 billions years ago. And the universe is around 15 billions years old. And there are hundred billions of galaxies in our universe, and each galaxy contain hundreds of billions of stars... How could we tell the life exist only on the earth??? Simple probabilities are completely against that idea of life uniquely on the earth!
I don't say we'll find a way to communicate soon with another intelligent form of life somewhere in the universe, because the distances are so huge, and they could be so different than us...
But maybe one day we may understand more how civilizations evolve globally simply by observation with bigger (radio-)telescopes built by our future robots for us at the dark side of the moon...

so this is how NASA quizes look lately (definitely a theoretic approach hence they've approximated all orbits 2b circular): perhaps one question would be where to start probing for life given the context above, another how would it look like for a human being. To which I would choose planet 'f' and 'arctic climate'.

"Given the right ingredients (which are everywhere), life may be an inevitable consequence of complex chemistry, everywhere in the universe.
It would be inexcusably egocentric to suggest that we are alone in the cosmos.
The cemistry is too rich to declare that; the universe too vast.
There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand in all the beaches on the world."
Dr. Neil Tyson
