In a different program about the same incident it was stated also that that male dear was hitting the guy cause it thought that the female dear was inside of the guy and it was trying to get the female to come out of the guy.

i was attacked by a goat once. they do almost the same trick as the deer, stand up on the rear legs and try to get a good headshot ( meaning using their head as weapon ). i won the battle cause i noticed how unstable they are on the rear legs. with just a little push the goat would fall and try the whole thing again. so i kept pushin him over everytime he attacked. kinda funny situation..

#6 is right. take out the back legs and you win.
The back legs are strong for a deer but have no range of motion so Judo can easily defeat any Deer. Science Fact!

Not that easy to break a deers leg. I hit one in a truck 10 years ago, totaled the truck, the deer got up and ran away. I'm sure he was hurt but he ran away. They look frail but they are not.
