The last scene with a cut-in of some random trees in a rain storm, then Jeremy Clarkson with some patches of water on his shirt, played with the sound effect of rain was quite lame.

Uhm, That was not a 'Booster' test, That was a shuttle main engine test. The boosters burn different fuel.

Main engine uses only liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen as fuel, the solid rocket boosters burn aluminium as main fuel, used because it has a reasonable specific energy density of about 31.0MJ/kg, but having a high volumetric energy density, as well as being difficult to accidentally ignite. 8-)
