Living in London, I could tell you that most people must have thought he was just a druggie curling on the street.

Liverpool Street does attract it share if crazies too...

I'm not saying you should just ignore a person in pain, but let's face it, you might end up being assaulted by the stranger as well...

this reminds of something I heard once:
"Everyone wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die."

#4 shut the F up, at least call the police or an ambulance, give them the adress and describe the situation, that's the least you can do, not give us your bullshit...

I can understand what people think when they leave him at the start.
They may think its some homeless crack head drunk.
I see it allot here in Scotland

#4 I honestly just think them brits are cold hearted... okay lets say the first guy looked like a druggy... the woman looked like an average person if that happened somewhere in L.a. or anywhere in California a lot more people would show concern.. they should do more experiments like this all around the world.... very interesting data.

I been a sleep in the park one day and some one called the ambo's on me ,i woke up as soon as the guy went to touch me (aka.. pulse )and ask if i was ok , i asked for the person who called them up to rethink it over next time just cos some one is on grass and has their eyes closed does not mean they are dead ,JUST SLEEPING and not really moving around i sleep in the one spot

if a little kid were to be doing the same thing as the people in that video you would have seen every one stop and ask if he was alright .

NOW i do know that people in every city are just plane assholes you will find 1 in 1,000 people will stop .

I am the 1 in 1,000 that does stops when i see some one in need of help of any kind weather its just to get $5 to get a new beer i still help out .

Karma is real :D

I don't think this experiment was right choice to do....or if yes, then they would have expected more....
Coz not all the people walking outside are free walkers + not all people can have the same thought. Neither all people can have same self esteem to help others...!

Not all people have a LEADER's capability...

But to this video. Let me give you a bunch of thoughts i am having even though i am not a bystander.
1: He could be in need of help... or faking it... because there is no sign of injury or real symptoms of anything
2: Weather he is faking it for some reason or is it another viral ad video going on...! lol
3: What if i go near him and he assaults me... and then nobody can help me if he has something sharp with him... ( because he was wearing casual clothes)
4: I am already getting late... HOpe someone helps him

but when they put a woman or dressed person, people are at least sure that its not a much problem for them to help... and thats the dilemma of society

But when someone takes the initiative... then we are sure for one thing, He is in need of HELP and can't assault me or I will not be hailed as hero... because most of the people just don't wanna be the spotlight...!

Well i might have more thoughts if i was the bystander...!

but at the end i could have helped him, personally...!

I have passed by so many sleeping alcoholics in my live, I can't count them. Dress and smell is only thing to saparete people, who are really in trouble.

I'm from Dublin, Ireland and once witnessed someone having a heart attack..STRAIGHT away at least 5 onlookers tended to him (including myself, I even called ambulance). You can tell if someone is on drugs or drunk compared to someone who is in trouble..I guess it depends what kind of culture you're from

I complete agree with #4 streets can be as mean as the people who walk in it sometimes,so we have to be aware that sometimes these bystanders aren't all what they seem.
approach and help by all means, but always have your wits about you.

I saw a lady slip on some ice some week ago and she banged her head pretty hard. Immediately she was surrounded by 6 people tending to her. I was on my way too from across the street but I stopped as I saw she was surrounded already. Nothing I could do other than just be in the way. This was in Sweden. I don't know if it was just the right people at the right time, or maybe people here are more willing to help others.

we call ourselves civilized,
If I was hurt and in need of assistance I would love it if someone did help out.
Funny, we call Arabs and middle eastern people uncivilized, but you will never see someone in need of help be unnoticed over there..
