How dumb can you be calling the police and locking yourself inside with the robber. There are tons of different ways this could have turned out.

In America, this would have ended in one of two ways. Employees hearded to the back room and shot in the head or the owner pulls .45 and blows this Scumbag away. Which of course is the best possible ending. It's one or the other.

ok, first, why the fuck would they lock the robber in the store with them and customers? doesn't make sense. second, i could never imagine standing there screaming repeatedly like that annoying woman in the background. what. the. shit.

Someone at a high risk place like a jewelry store hits the panic buttons TWICE and it still takes 20 min to get there? WTF! He could have slaughtered the whole bunch of them in that time.

The end was the best solution though. All they need is a buzzer to control each door, and say "Sure! I'll let you out!" and trap him like they did. THAT should have happened oh... the first time he demanded they open the door?

They were lucky that the robber didn't have a knife or gun. They should have just faked that they let him go and then trapped him in between since the very beginning.

The shopkeepers were dumber. Why not lock the dumbass between the doors in the first place, thereby averting further property damage and blue spots? :)

#2 It is not a bad strategy to immediately call the cops when you know the guy is suspicious, They were trying to distract him and keep him busy... but WTF is up with the police getting a call of a jewelery store being robbed with lots of diamonds in it and takign 20 minutes to arrive at the scene... Poor old timers now have eyeballs missing and maybe some :x

WOW, I'm sorry, but things just don't work right in England. First of all, any idiot that owns a store like this, has two independently locking doors. They had them too, except these idiots defeated the purpose of a TRAP DOOR. The only protection these idiots have is a metal bar? And with all those people, they really could not take him down, they know nothing whatsoever. And why these idiots chose to hide behind the counter beats me. Clearly the robber had the advantage if you leave with will all the open space while your stuck in a 3 foot area. Have these guys ever watched boxing? Finally, I love how the off duty cop stands outside the door, so "no escape is possible". Makes much more sense then having the owners open the door and the experienced cop taking him down. ::(|)

I don't care what the law says, if I ran a jewellery store I would take up clay pigeon shooting and keep a loaded shotgun behind the counter. ;)
