The Coon acts in weird ways! For the good of all, some need to sacrifice, because he is not the hero the town wants, but the hero the town needs, the town needs...

The Coon...

I've known a couple of people that tried to keep a raccoon as a pet. It worked out about the same for them as it has for this poor guy.
Raccoons are clever and destructive, not a very good pet, however they are delicious roasted with sweet potatoes.

#4 easy to say since thats not your home. Raccoons are pests, like rats and pigeons, and I am onside with #1 on this one, hit the thing with a hammer or another blunt heavy object. For those who are saying "its soo cute..." keep in mind this is a wild animal that can seriously hurt you, no matter how cute you "think" it is.

All you bleeding hearts need to spend some time in the wilderness. If I had made this video, you would be watching my instructional video on how to make....

#11 is right. Raccoons are really cute... but they destroy homes AND ecologies. There used to be a bunch more critters where I live - frogs, chipmunks, etc. But raccoons somehow got introduced and they're taking over everything. I don't enjoy watching things get killed, but in the case of a pest like a raccoon, it has to be done.

#11 I dont said cute. i said poor. and of course i dont keep wild animals in my house, so i dont have the need to hit them with hammers or other blunt heavy objects.

#18 how dare you use the mantle of the great thinker Plato and use such pathetic logic in your comments, for shame. Who said I was referring to your comment anyway? Did the fact that you did say poor and not cute give you any hint that I might be making a more general statement and not referring to your comment? I also do not keep them but no where in this video does he state that he is keeping it as a pet. Maybe it got in through a cat door, an open window or maybe it chewed its WAY THROUGH THE DAMN WALL? I also dont keep bears around my garbage cans, but I damn well will shoot a Mama and her cubs, regardless of how cute they are if they endanger my family. Regardless the real Plato turns over in his grave every time you comment so choose your words more wisely next time.

I have more of a Diogenese disposition,(if you haven't noticed or are just pretending to know the classics) so thumbs down me all you want, because the cool kids all look at the "comments rated too low" anyways.

They would probably stay away if people started eating them. People back in the middle ages or earlier should be so lucky that food just walks into their homes. No more failed hunting sessions.

(i) I don't agree with #11, raccoons are'nt pests.
They are really good animals, very intelligent, a lot of dexterity with their "hands", and when you pet them they are purring like a cat.

*Raccoons are good animals:

I saw this in a documentary before. This raccoon was rescued and "domesticated". After it was feeling well, it was released back to the wild but it came coming back to visit--and well ruin his house. I think the raccoon meant no harm to him or his house. I think it just wants to thank him with his own ways lol.

I don't know why so many people are asking why he keeps a pet that does this. I didn't see anywhere where it said it was a pet or that he had it there voluntarily. It could just have found it's way in. He doesn't call it by name and it doesn't seem very sure of him. I think it's a just a wild Racoon that found it's way into his kitchen and fucked it up.

This kind of thing happens all the time, people find a baby coon(the mother being hit by a car/trapped/shot/whatever) so they do the kind thing and take care of it. I've done it before with a coon, and also a couple of flying squirrels. The trick is you have to treat them like livestock and not like a pet. Don't pet them and snuggle with them, just feed and walk away. You even kinda half to be sort of mean so when you release them back into the wild they don't just go to someone elses house for a hand put.
