this was Qatar vs. Uzbekistan for the asian games.
the miss of the century is from a Qatari player.
To make matters worse, Uzbekistan went on to win the match 1-0 on extra-time :D
i wonder if he will ever play again for his national team. hmm, probably not :)

I miss the times when players like (brazilian) ronaldo played in the big teams, that was football to me. I think personally, if you're foorballer you need to know how to play, not just lay on the ground whining like a baby, which everyone does these days. And lets not forget the hair gel.

#18 because kicking a ball thats moving away from you, across the body is really difficult.
You can see what he was trying and was unlucky really. Its not as easy a shot as it seems, open goal sure, but awkward angle ans pressure from the defence. The second guy should have done much better. He completely skys it, no excuse.

First fail is the defender's, home pass too slow and too wide, second and third is the goalkeeper's... he's confused by the ball being round, then tries to act like he was fouled (btw i think that deserves a yellow card for diving)... then the striker.. OMG... he had plenty of options to put it in the net with the right foot, but he tried to be cool and that's what he got... (if i were his manager, i would sidelined him for a couple of months just for that single act)
So it's a quadruple fail if you ask me... >:) >:)
