Cracking it produces a chemical reaction that lets a lot of CO2 escape.

i wonder what would happen if used in the wrong way / place.

for example a hysteric house wife who uses 6 of these bottles for a small fire ( candle maybe ). if it fills the room with CO2... one might suffocate

UsageNote: keep away from childeren, do not drink?

I guess this is the company that makes them......

http://www.bonex-asean.com/

It uses ammonium phoshate and ammonium bicarbonate to produce ammonia gas and carbon dioxide.

The future firefighters will be equipped with grenade launchers instead of a hose.

That is amazing, Although I don't think ammonia gas is very healthy to breathe.

#9 & #11 at the and of this page there is an explanation to why this isn't dangerous http://www.bonex-asean.com/sat119.html (altough it creates a huge amount of CO2) "you are so great grandmum!" :))

#15 - Thanks your redundant post.

I never said anything about it being dangerous, and I already posted a link to that site and a link to a PDF that fully explains what the product is and how it works.

hmm I don't know if an entire room was on fire would one of these canisters be enough to kill the entire fire in the room before it leaves a part of it to be able to spread out?

Personally if I was on fire I would want someone to extinguish the hell out of me... not drop a canister next to me like a grenade and have to wait a few seconds :S

Here's another video demonstrating its power: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZvmgfmI1m0

Also from its website:
"The extinguishing liquid is of weak alkalinity. It is made of food additives and it uses the most ideal, safe surface-active agents which are authorized as national and officially approved items. The extinguishing agent could be thrown away as sewage and it is harmless to the environment. "

I do wonder how long before the Japanese "invent" nano-penises, to replace the original one with a much better one! I foresee much money to be made.

This fire extinguisher is not a "Japanese invention",it is made in Singapore and Malaysia and has now been accepted for use in Japan.

Reversed Molotov :P

Can't believe no one else has thought of that as of jet.
Picture of makbeth36 achievements

+4 25. makbeth commented 13 years ago

#24 lol, i wasthinking the same, the diagram on the package looks like a dude throwing bomb.

This technology has existed for a long time, ie in CO2 fire extinguishers, but the anti molotov idea is novel.
One probllem with CO2, it can knock you out if you get to close, and you couldnt use this indoors.
