#3 how about if they are speeding to print some fines?
like parking fine cause no one expects them to be somewhere with this weather?
shamefull but, i have to say, i have never been helped by a police officer, all i've had sofar were fines and alcohol controls which are equal to delays since i don't drink and they have to bring another alcohol tester since they don't want to miss the chance to give a fine cause of faulty hardware...

#9 You asked me a question so I will make an attempt to answer. Any of the circumstances you mentioned (and lots of otheres you didn't) are possible, but in reality aren't probable. For instance: They could have been rushing with sirens screaming to the nearest do-nut shop, not likely yet there's a chance. With all the scrutinity ANY official safety agency is under these days the abuse for such frivolous things is on the decline. Is there still an abuse of power on occassion? Of course there is, it's never going to be a perfect system as long as people are involved.
As to your comment "I've never been helped by a police officer" I would say you are extremely fortunate and should count your blessings. You say you don't drink and I can appreciate that, I don't either. However I never consider a road side check for drunk drivers an inconvinience. The drunk driver they find, and have found many times, may be one of the reasons you have never needed the help from a police officer.

The pay for a British Police Officer is extremely low, certainly very low considering the dangerous work they are called upon to do. The question that immediately arises then is this: "Why would anyone do the job?"
There are two possible answers:
a) The person feels a vocational calling to help and serve the public.
b) The person relishes the prospect of obtaining immediate and unquestioning power over his peers.
Take a look at video footage of the way police officers conduct themselves; the brutal and thug-like behaviour they exhibit towards the public and you will be left in no doubt exactly which category the vast majority of Police Officers fall into.

Poor cops... I will never understand people who don't like them. They live to help others, they have a programmed personality ready to help anyone, who is in need, in all possible ways. Sometimes they have to be brave, and puts themselfs in trouble helping others. And they always keeps smiling or willing to do so. So please have some respects for those protecting us, making the world a safest place to live.

All those smug pricks being high and mighty towards people who've chosen a career to help people. I'm sure they've never made a mistake in their holier-than-thou lives.

The cops probably knows that would happened but go through it anyway bc they know that someone needs their help. Those who laugh, get caught on tape, and posted on the internet are complete idiots, ignorants, and, likely are spoiled rotten brats.
