the baby elephant is very cute and looks to be enjoying its bath. on that point its a nice video but on the other hand its fucking cruel.
i don't give a flying fuck if its a zoo or whatever, these animals don't belong in cages, let the animals out and keep the fucking humans in the cages instead. :'(

I don't have all the facts straight but that looks like a animal/elephant bathhouse rather then some regular cage.

#5 I would much rather live free with a chance of being shot than spend my life locked up without even a hope of being shot

#2 For me, it's more like elephant sanctuary. In my country, this place is where the baby elephants (usually left behind from their group or chased off from villagers and wounded) taken care off and protected (they are endangered species) until they reach certain age to be returned back to jungle. The cage might seems cruel but it is not. Don't worry, they'll get free eventually.

#2 calm down beavis. For all we know these guys may have been hurt or sick. They very well could be living wild and are temporally at a wildlife clinic for treatment. The area they occupy doesn't appear to be a Zoo setting.

#2 let put them all out in the wild, and then they will be shot by "hunters"

hey, now that's a new good sport, killing hunters ! then all animals can live freely

The way poachers in India and Africa are slaughtering elephants for their ivory and feet, we may need captive breeding pairs in zoos just to keep them from going extinct.
That bath house is probably part of a large wildlife preserve.

It's obviously just a bath room. It's not like they spend their entire day inside there. These elephants get good care from people that love animals and try to help them from hunters and people here call them cruel? Idiots.

Tis very cute indeed <3

The thing I find sad is that it's necessary to keep some of the animals in captivity; because of the heartless, moronic arsewhipes out there who kill them for a little money.
It's good that there's people out there with the knowledge and dedication to look after those who would otherwise be extinct.
I'm gonna give the benefit of the doubt for the above little fella.

Apart from the whole captivity discussion; huray to endearing lil cute animals ::(|) ::(|)

The only way to combat poaching is to end the belief that ivory increases male sexual performance. Would be interested to know if there has been any attempts to educate those who buy ivory for use in traditional Chinese medicine. A new widespread ad campaign could be started all over Asia..."Save the Elephants! Buy Viagra! It's Right on the Corner, Right on the Price!".
