#2 and what is if your getting an e-mail with all information about your bank account because you used ebay?
its just a question of privacy. Do you want that it is possible for someone to get every information about you?
You dont have to be a terrorist to want to keep things in you life secret!

How hard would it be for a terrorist to look YOU up? if google have all the information to provide them with any information on you,who you work for, you're home address etc.Think about it

Relevance to the real world? Not on your life, just a relevant source of constant ads and on-line stores that they feed to you. I could remember when there was no graphics just text but then you got real information and didn't have to sort through the large amount of crap to obtain it. None, just another corporation's biggest, best, you need me marketing hype using a system originally meant for information.

Example: You have access to a couple of million e-mail accounts. Why would you waste your time reading through strangers e-mails?
As long as you don't know who Person A is, you don't give a shit whether or not Person A is cheating on Person B. And should you know Person A, then the risk of logging into his/her account is bigger than the benefit of reading through his/her e-mails.

I've seen worse things done by others on the net than i've ever done and those people are willing to show those things off with videos and pictures so I don't think privacy bothers them either. The only ones this would bother are the ones with big bad secrets to keep that deserve exposure, like terrorists or criminals of any type really, sounds like a good way to catch all the low life scum out there. I'm all for it.

"What if google had a file on you, even including your entire genetic data? Every human being would become completely transparent."
That just brings questions...
1. How would they get my genetic data?
2. What does that has to do with me being transparent?
3. Does this mean I can sneak around without people seeing me? AWESOME!

#17 you need to try harder mate
you are so ignorant:
#14 "if u dont hav any dark secrets u dont hav to be worry"
you know, there is something called "privacy", but if you have grown up in one room apartment with your mom, dead and 15 brothers and sisters then privacy is really irrelevant to you

It's all simple: If you're worried... really worried. Don't use the world wide web, credit cards, bank cards and be in public places. Just stay in your tiny little dark hole and don't ever ever ever come out.

google is all about the freedom of internetz. Just like wikipedia or wikileaks.
They have a complex marketing system but it comes down to something like this.
They create free and easy to use products in which Google ad's(income) are displayed.
Because it's free and user friendly a lot of people will use them.
The Google ad's are generally related to some content in the page or used from search entry's on google's search engine.
They can also be related from content in gmail, buzz, talk, whatever. The content from these products is rudely scanned by an automated script. So adwords are more related to your interest but can be very random.
I'm guessing Google is looking for a way to do this better. Although i don't really mind if my public e-mail address is scanned by a script. No human will ever want to read it. I'm really sure because i'm not famous or have a job which requires privacy.
If you would want more privacy, get products where you have to pay to use them. And you could use a proxy to browse anonymously. Also don't use social media
As long as Google does not have a monopoly on all digital products (which is impossible), it won't matter.

the only problem i see is that the 'freedom' of the internet will no longer exist.the internet is the only free press because you can say anything you want without anyone to aknowledge you in real life...for example i write this comment because i know nobody from you knows who i am
