Hehe! they mostly use the same type of game engine today as way back when. Skyboxes and textures in a 3d box. much prettier now though :)

I have played every single one of these except "killer" right at the beginning O:)
Skips a bit too much at the end: shouldve been Operation Flashpoint instead of Arma2 and Red Faction for first time destructability :)

Thanks for uploading this, brings back so many lost hours in which i had to learn for school :) :)

and be honest, a lot of those old games had better gameplay than the games of today

Duke Nukem 3D (1996) was the first one i ever played...and since then....i'm still playing (sometimes) :D
too bad Battlefield 2 wasn´t in this compilation...i still play that cuz i don't have a computer that would run those new games like CoD MW or BF BC2
I don't have a console either! :D
But it doesn't matter cause I really need to focus on my school right now and I don't have time for those incredibly good-looking games that are probably like drugs :D

what about CDS (conflict desert storm) S.T.A.L.K.E.R., BF serries, horror FPS and such :O

This vid makes me feel old. At the same time, I'm proud to have witnessed almost the whole development of a new art form. Who knows, maybe we'll be watching the 60-years-of-fps on snotr one day.

Being a fps gamer I must say I absolutly loved this. From Goldeneye 1997 I've been hooked and it doesn't look like its gonna change ;)
