This is ACA - A current Affair - an example of appalling Australian 'Journalism'.

what's wrong with that journalist?? We expect to get information off them, not their opinion. we should have all the info and decide ourselves. I don't like other people deciding and thinking for me. This is not journalism.
Australia used to have Chasers war on everything, who ridiculed this type of behaviour.
Kid is just a poser and he knows he is popular.

'what would you say to other kids who are thinking of partying when their parents are out of town?'
'get me to do it for you'
'get me to do it for you'

I assume Channel 9 is the Australian equivalent of Fox News Channel here in the states? She sounds just as faux outraged as some of the asshats on Fox. Good grief what a snobby uptight attitude, though I'd have to imagine its nothing a little hair pulling and ass slapping couldn't fix.

That journalist was sooo uptight, I bet she's never been to any party. Let's be serious for a moment, that party must have ROCKED!

TV is no court and this arrogant girl no judge or god, even if she try to make it seem like that.
The boy should find out, which responsibility he really has (and which he had not) and how he could excuse at his neighbors. But he shouldn't let him self be urged to promise any compensation to the neighbors in TV or show his face without glasses. The internet doesn't forget anything. Better he had avoided this silly interview completely, except, the TV would have payed the damage of the neighbors.
This doesn't mean, that I had sympathy to the guy.

"Take off your glasses and apologize"
Who is she, the glasses police?
He may have looked ridiculous and all, but i would choose his party over hers anyday! What would she say when you walked in the door.."can you take that outfit off and apologize to me for wearing it..?"

Retarded TV show. People, no matter what they did, should not be made to promise anything on TV. That is their own personal choice. Who does she think she is, his mother? I don't agree with his behavior, but I sure don't agree with hers either. I do agree also with #24 Johann Sommer up there.
