This is an engineering masterpiece. Sure some people might say "why use that body, it looks ugly blah blah" or "why you need so much power" but it's really all about the history of how its been built and what it took to put it on the road.

For all your crazy motorheads here is some more info on the insane engine this car has; Merlin is a British liquid-cooled, V-12 , piston aero engine, of 27-litre (1,650 cu in) capacity.

Watching this, I almost pissed myself laughing. What a lump of shit. 10 years full time work to build this. That is just so fuckin' sad. :|

This Car has the Power of a Train! :D
It would be so cool, driving the roads with the Train Driver's attitude: Not braking for everything not supposed to be on the way! >:)

3:18 sorry but I didn't see quality nor power, and by power I mean what was shown in this video could have been done with a bicycle and a smoker.

show me the real thing then you get my respect. not building 3000 HP motor and afraid of it to fall apart on maximum power.

#12 The theme of the car is probably based on its engine. In WW2, USAF planes were marked with a small swastika for each nazi plane they shot down:

#3 totally agree. No one builds something like this with the intent of running it at full power all the time or to show off (altough the car does that even when it's not working). You build something like this out of passion. Nothing more than that. To know that something took 10 years to be built properly and to run smoothly, while overcoming what I imagine were big constrution issues, that's what it's all about. And in the end, when everything is finished,I bet you can't help but feel a tremendous feeling of proudness and satisfaction in yourself for turning an "almost impossible thing to do" project to a "fuck me, I did it!". That's what, in essence, this is. Overcoming obstacles and standing tall in the end.

#14 The theme of the car is the P-51 Mustang which was a WW2 American fighter plane. Some models used the Allison V-12 and some did use the Merlin engine or the Packard version of the Merlin.
The P-51's also had a lot of 'Rising Sun' stickers on them since many were used in the other war the US was fighting at the same time in the Pacific theater of combat. The more swastika's and rising suns, the better.By some of the comments I am surprised some people do not realize what they represent.

I've seen this car in person, at a car show when I was a kid. It was special guest/main attraction while it was going round australia. I've stood 4 feet away from those exhaust pipes while it was revving up, even with my hands clamped over my ears it was deafening. Unfortunately he didn't drive it around, it was indoors, but believe it or not this car (if memory serves) is fully road legal and registered.
