This was filmed 27 years ago. I bet Koko is over that kitten by now. She had many cats for pets thru the years. I wonder how many others ran away.

am i the only one astonished at how the gorilla understood sign language and named the kitten :O I've heard that certain species could pick up these skills but it seems weird to me seeing it in this video!
