Reminds me od Rimfall from Discworld - they should build a huge net and just collect the fish every once in a while :D

They were probably put there by helicopter from Human Planet to get some nice footage and give us a scare

#3 This would cause an amazing amount of harm to the fish population, they would decrease in number quickly, slowing down the reproduction cycle.
