Eh come on this is not Phd quality i know nerd's who are first year uni that do exactly the same shit with xbox kinect's hooked up to there pc's and open source drivers ....

This is insanely impressive *if* this is real. The possibilities would be near endless with something that awesome. The thing is i haven't heard a word about this guy or the project - which is weird. Considering how far he "seems" to have got. Fake or not? I hope not, but you never know...

#20. That's odd, because I've heard of people logging on using their own photograph, so the 3D thing is clearly incorrect. And if you think about it, the only way the program would be able to distinguish a 3D image from a 2D one, would be if it had access to 2 web cams. I don't know of any laptops with 2 cams, do you? In any event, the word is that it takes so long to process the face, you'd be miles quicker typing in a password.
And incidentally, I have a foolproof method of bypassing any computer security system. It's called a screwdriver.
