#1 i cant tell you the name of the method..but i can tell you how to do it...its really much work. First you need to take heaps and heaps of video/photo material. (Of course you have to plan your storyline/script before to know what you want) With all this video/Photo material you start do edit each footage..like Keyframe backround out..add muzzle fire..light and color..etc. That way you create 2D objects that due to (real) camera motion look like a half 3D projection. And then..like if you build a 3D scene you go in like Adobe AfterEffects and place all the "2D" images on a 3D room (With different depth and depth-of-view effects)..when placed..you can move like a virtual camera through the scene..and add extra effects and a background (Wich is seperatly recorded without actors in it)..you repeat that process over and over for different scenes and melt the scenes together with like the blendover when the camera moves throu a muzzle fire. ..thats the basic method. But the planning at the beginning is the most important..its like planning a movie..and the shooting of the single puzzle tiles to put them together as a scene..and of course hours of hours of editing work and CGI in Modeling software like 3DS Max or cinema4D to make your fitting partice effects..so..its not easy to do..you basically move a virtual cam through a 3D room, filled with 2D objects...not to mention you also have to make the sound sample =)
