The song indeed is called 'Lux Aeterna', produced by Clint Mansell which was made for the movie 'Requiem for a Dream'. For those who don't know Clint Mansell is one of the hottest movie soundtrack producers around. His first movie soundtrack was for the movie 'Pi' which blew my mind years ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQ1sZSCz47w

I can tell you that the snake and the frog were not in the same place during filming, they were composited together to create the scripted story. Those animals are not tamable and would not naturally do what the camera crew and script demand. The whole scene is a studio setup. Scripting and editing create what looks like to be a naturally occuring scene in a jungle.
That goes for most nature documentaries, sad but true.
