#1 i don't think that the pharmaceutical companies are interested in finding a cure for the common cold, they rather sell their drugs and make money :/

#5, you are correct. Now I'm staring at four things that may be parts of... #3, don't you see, #2 is Mr Smith in disguise (MATRIX). To live is to take risks, I better have a few years short and see the rest of the world than live in a sterile apartment. Still, easy precautions as hands are vital...

#1 #4, you get immune to the cold after you had it, the reason every gets sick all the times, is there is over 2000 kinds of cold, at least that's what i've handled with in college biology. Never noticed that sometimes you get a runny nose, other times you're forced to bed with high fewer? The same decease can't give you symptoms that far apart, and it can't be explaining by seasons or vitamins etc. There just is endless of mutations and races of the common cold

#1 From a biologists point of view, viruses are not alive. They cannot reproduce on their own and have no metabolism which are one of the prerequisites of "life"
1. metabolism
2. reproduction (cellular growth / division)
3. differentiation
4. communication (cellular / intracellular)
5. movement (yes, plants move also by growth and think of carnivorous plants)
6. evolution

#9 you are correct yes viruses are not alive .."Viruses straddle the definition of life. They lie somewhere between supra molecular complexes and very simple biological entities. Viruses contain some of the structures and exhibit some of the activities that are common to organic life, but they are missing many of the others. In general, viruses are entirely composed of a single strand of genetic information encased within a protein capsule. Viruses lack most of the internal structure and machinery which characterize 'life', including the biosynthetic machinery that is necessary for reproduction. In order for a virus to replicate it must infect a suitable host cell".
From The Bacteriophage T4 Virus .....
regarding of your remarks like (yes, plants move also by growth and think of carnivorous plants) and [/smartass] well i did not said that i'm smart ,i know plants have ability to move
