#2. At first I agreed with you...well, your first sentence. It is a beautiful connection that is nurtured between the patients and the dog, who both share disabilities. Don't alienate yourself from the fact that we are both creatures, and both need companionship. I think it's a wonderful program that would do more good than bad for those affected...

Well this approach would make sence if the dog was healthy and full of life! This 19 year-old dog needs a steady home and an owner that doesn't drag him around in hospitals in his "red little wagon".

Why is the dog not moving? Is he paralyzed or something?

i have 2 dogs on my own and they are the best whatever happened to me in my life! they are always there for you, whether you are happy, sad, angry, heartbroken, worried, frustrated.... and they just make it go away and make you feel forget anything that is troubling you! a mans best friend indeed!!!!!!

#2 You are an idiot. That has has less than no clue that these people are dieing.with your logic no one should ever pet a dog except its family because he will be sad when they don't come back.It is good for both patient and dog.I am glad you won't be taking care of me at the end of my life.

#13 what i was saying, is that the poor fella is already having the last moments of his life, and after being have to taking care of people for 20 years, he deserves some fucking time alone, without this bullshit concept of "being there for them". we are so narcissist and egoist, that we still think ourselves as the only animal with capability of thinking. we still act as they are around to serve for us.
and yes. we are animals too.
and yes. i'd have leave you to die alone.

Baxter is a rescue dog, part golden retriever, part chow. He has pancreatitis problems, high blood pressure,a thyroid condition, acute arthritis and chronic bronchitis. THAT IS WHY i asked what is wrong with him!
