Wimpy wanted to let visually impaired people know that they offered Braille menus in all of their restaurants.

"So by building just 15 Braille burgers..." ...we successfully created an extremely cheap ad campaign to expand our clientele to further please our shareholders with the extended yearly profit.

I really like the idea, however it is to do with a big company so I don't like it as much.

How about McDonalds and their "Pink Slime"? Ammoniated beef trimmings(anus, intestine, scrotum, other assorted
trimmings), ground up and put in the ground beef to make hamburgers to help get every penny out of that cow that they can. Ooh Yummie! :x

Brilliant!! It put a smile on my face.

Go Wimpy, it's my favorite place to eat, maybe because me and my wife had our first date there 23 years ago, no fuss, no fancy words or foreign food, just great local food and atmosphere.

#9 It is the theory of random creation. if you have enough buns( billions) , and trow random seeds on them, finaly one of them contains a good joke.

I don't always comment but when I do i have tears of joy, some hope in humanity is restored because of small things like this.

its just not cool, telling other people, making advertisement. to brag about how they did a good deed to handicapt people. while all they want. is to boost there sales/profit

it would be way nicer to hear this story from the people that ate these burger's and that they decided to post this video.

now it just looks to me that wimpy just made 15 burgers for blind people, so they can brag about how awesome they are. And ofcourse if you google it you see many articles about this event. Some marketing-kung-fu master at work.

the idea is nice, but the intentions of all these commercials "where they say how good they are, helping others, so buy my product!" seems as cheap marketing for me.

Close your eyes and "rewatch" this advertisement. All the words are just printed on the screen and none are spoken. All you hear is a piano loop. This promotional video is not the most blind-friendly way to promote their blind-friendly campaign. :S

#12 So what you say is that a company is not allowed to make a nice commercial instead of a stupid one? They did not claim to be the perfect spot to get "Burgers for blinds"..but this ad was better than any Ronald McBruger fried chicken..
And do you think they will have more normal customers wih this ad..or more blind people go there?
Its just a nice idea..and ideas are bulletproof =D

@14 i never said there arnt allowed. you mis read my post.
im just saying that their intensions are misleading.
and yes!!! they trying to get more regular people comming. that was my whole point! by acting how swell there compagny is towards blind people.
like i already said.

the gesture is nice. but doing THE GESTURE only because you want more profit.
makes me wunder, if they also even done it if wernt making a commercial.

you people just not seeing this, or am i just the only one?

@ 2:17 - "They could see it"!? No they couldn't! They could read a description of it.

#15 - their intentions are not misleading. They said right in there that they wanted to get the word out that they had braille menus for the visually impaired.

I agree with Captain Obvious.
Yes, they are doing a great thing by putting out Braille menus, BUT
this is (he he) obviously aimed at sighted people, to make them feel better about buying the product.
We don't have Wimpys where I live, but if it's like the other swill marketed by mass-produced burger chains, it needs all the goodwill it can get.
Oh, and dBomber69? you forgot to mention penises, lips, and tails, all of which have been certified for human consumption in ground or minced beef.

Despite the commercial intent this sure made me happy. :)
