#3 it might be because of the ignition itself, in fact the ignition chain is made of tiny explosives too.

Niiice. :) Wish they would use stunts like this for the movies though, way better than all the modern special effects crap.

#3 The first flash is det cord,a plastic tube used to ignite the explosives second flash explosives,most likely a shaped charge was used which is a 2-3 inch thick piece of copper wrapped in explosive which when detonated cuts the steel stucture.The plastic tube is packed with high speed expolsive the shock wave moves faster than the demolition explosive,it is only a few miliseconds but thats all you need

Couldn't have they disassembled it? It's not like it was made of concrete... Like #6 said, they seem to have more work cleaning up.

The first flash you see, is the actual detonation cord firing. it links

all of the charges together.

The second flash you see are the actual charges detonating based on the delay

cap that is used on each charge.
