Da fuck . Could've done a better job of scientifically explaining how neurologically does something so extraordinary happen!!?!?!? ! And the effect that he is in a nursing home - how does that affect his state. That does have a significant effect. That guy is just stating the facts that we see in the video That is just stupid. And why did that black woman in the beginning say she instead of he and her instead of him?

This is actually seen in some Parkinson's patients as well. They can't move, but turn on music from their era and they will perform coordinated movements they normally cannot produce. It works better if they used to dance a lot, also it's currently used in therapy.
In dementia patients similar things are seen when you place them in a room similar to that from their era, or with photos from the old days. They are suddenly able to communicate on a higher level.
It could have something to do with the fact that they can respond better to new stimuli in a familiar invironment, but are unable to interact in unfamiliar environment since a lot of new stimuli are coming in.
Staggering to see the difference it makes in this man though!
I would like to see what happens to someone from this generation when he has Parkinson's; Listening to techno, or dubstep, the doctors would think he's having a seizure

#17 Im thinking the same...once i hit the age that im a vegetable..a living potato..please kill me. Im done with the time someone needs to change my diapers..wouldnt want to go back there again. Rather die happy after a good life then spend another 1/3 of it on a home and get my ass whiped. (worked in a retirement home for some time to know i dont want it for myself)
Nonetheless its a touching story =)
