It's pretty cool, I just wonder why didn't he learn (maybe he did, just wasn't mentioned here) how to fly in those 12 free-time years?

Title is a bit misleading, it's not like he worked for 12 full years with the project. :P Must have taken a lot of time though, I wouldn't have had the patience. Good watch.

#3 IF he could make them he would not need a flight sim .....

Give it a few years and it will be illegal to build one of those for "anti terrorist" measures ! :P

#9 "Free time" means the time you have to yourself for hobbies or whatever when you are not at your job. Think of it as "spare time." I am just surprised that the Boeing 737 was originally flown by Lufthansa.

I can't imagine how much this costs because they want around $50,000 for a Cessna instrument panel that mounts to your desk and that doesn't include the Flight Simulator part, you still need a computer and monitor.
