#1 yes they have, they have discovered the 'God' particle and created Blackholes which last for an infinitely small time. It's only a matter of time before they discover something else new.

Well, this might be the answer why seti will never find intelligent life. Intelligence comes from wanting to know things. Maybe curisosity kills all the cats.

If adding more and more energy will lead to the discovery of a huuuge energy output which could start a small black hole inside that collider, which would soon swallow everything. I guess thats the big fear of all those end of the world parties happening over there.

A quote comes to mind:

"To understand is to perceive patterns."
- Isaiah Berlin

And so does a movie:

Enjoy!

I was thinking more of the drawing techniques being used than what was being said. Even though the drawing is sped up that's some fast animation.

I was hoping the movie would be Pi (is it me or does the feeling of this clip resemble the one in pi ?!)

#2 i'm sorry to correct you, but to this day no man discovered the boson particle yet and it remains a hypothetical thing.
#1 they have discovered 12 new particles so far but they are still collecting data.
you need data from billions of collisions to spot such a tiny difference that would point to the boson particle :)

Pretty much everything is "hypothical" in modern - science. What remains unfounded is the info that remains. Welcome to the 21st century folks! Either you get it, or you leave it up to your Iphones.

#5 sorry to disappoint you but the smaller a black hole is, more heat is releasing and therefore lasting miliseconds so you could never sustain a tiny black hole only superbigones can survive like the ones in the center of the galaxy ...thats why scientist laugh when everyone says what u did...
