Anybody can do it? I'd like to see you try, dvh. I guarantee you that you could not produce five seconds of 3D animation seen here, let alone five minutes. I would be entirely surprised if the fella who created this didn't commit many months of his time in its creation, if not much longer, and that doesn't include the years spent learning _how_. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about in that regard.
I do agree, though, that writing a clever story is not this artist's long suit.

[2] Actually, I was talking about movies like "Cars", "Madagascar", "Over the hedge", and thousands of other. They appeared shortly after the success of Pixar's movies. They thought it's easy to create 3D movie, especialy with low budget, and they are quite right. But if group of unskilled people create movie just because it is technically simple, it doesn't mean creating good story is simple too. In my opinion, story is the most important part. With good story, you can exchange the animation with plain old comic book and it still be great. With the crap story, you can use super cool 3D animation and it still be crap.
[2,3] I don't have own work.
Another "poor story" example is "Elephant Dream", Open Source movie.

yeah dvh I dont see your movie with a incredible story on here. you should at least give some credit to the guy who made this. I'm sure he spend a lot of time working on this. but then again like you said anyone with "CG" can do this huh? i agree with lexa1979, and emjaysea. you should stfu and go work on "Elephant Dream".

spook24 : I don't think you're an actor, but you do sometimes have opinion about actors.
This film is great (imho, and i'm not a 3D animator, nor a story-teller). The title, themeplanet, is a kind of clue, I guess ; ) : Themehospital, Themepark...
Although the story is very simple, it does tells me something. A bad guy, a kind of god (a player...), just makes creatures dedicating to work. One of these creatures demands for freedom, and gets it.
So, at least two stories answering themselves : one to laugh at players, who just repeat stupid actions to make stupid creatures, and one (the true one, or more important one) to see this laugh at from a little further, that is, this (our) planet is dedicated to work, and to stupid work : why not have a bit freedom...
Just to confirm, very quickly, the silly "happy worker" at 0:44, and the "days without accident" at the very start and... also at the end, maybe just in case some may misunderstood the intention of the author ; ).
There is more to write, I think, but this should answer to people thinking this is again a empty 3D animation.
Nice job, M. Sormann ; )

Animation was top-notch, considering only one guy did it.
I have to agree with dvh about the story, though.
I liked the animation, but the story was rather lacking.

troisquatre - u must of read my post wrong where did u get the idea that i was an actor.(moron) I also thought to film was great. where did u misinterpret my post? i mean really i was saying that dvh thinks it so easy to do something like this so i was bashing him. not the film or the creator of the film. like i said in my original post "i agree with lexa1979, and emjaysea."
emjaysea - no worries just trying to weed out the trolls.
dvh - you link u posted said "The URL contained a malformed video ID." you need to be banned off this site, well you need to be kicked off every site.

spook24: What he meant is that you don't need to be a musician to enjoy and criticize music.
I agree with him on that one, I disagree with the CG.
Bad CG would have been bad movies. Or bad short-movies, WHICH IS FUCKING WORSE.
I prefer to see 10-11 bad shit and 1 genius thing than to probably never ever see something genius, and CG helps. Tho, Bulletball prove it, it's not because "you work on something very hard" that it's clever and worth it, so even if movie was THE HELL AND MORE to create and that CG wouldn't exact, there would still be moron to think that because they can means they must.

2. The worst disadvantage of CG movie is that anybody can do it.

Visuals is great, but story often sucks...
