#spla300 I was wondering the same. I guess he wanted to "clean" the gas that he droped around the hole by burning it. Just a theory. Some stupid things also pass thru my mind but I never apply them (or almost never >:))

@7 You have to press the trigger before activate the extinguisher or the sudden pressure can break the pipe and that's what happened here...

Found this:
"Novosibirsk, Russia. It was -45°C. There was some problem with petrol gun and a idiot driver, decided to check it with a lighter... then car got fire.

Worker of the gas station started open a fire extinguisher but it was -45 and the valve broke down and exploded!"
