I think I recognize this club and there are really unprofessional.
I have sky-dove there 5 years ago. It was on the way back from Yosemite to San Francisco.
If I remember well, I paid only 80$ for a tandem dive (as for reference, it is 240€ average in Europe). Not to say necessarily that price = safety but forcing this granny to jump against her will was an obvious mistake, not to say about not checking her harness.

Luckily at this age, body surface area is larger >:)

Edit: I forgot to tell about the document that they ask you to sign before flying. Something like "... If you have an accident, the club will not be held responsible under any circumstances..."

#2 , it's normal to do those kind of extreme stuff on your own risk. why should the club be held responsable ?! they make you sign even for a bit tougher a roller coster ride, not to mention bungee jumping and a lot of other riskyer things.

I'm not defending them, as she didn't seem that she wanted to go ahead... but by her leaning/sitting the way she did when they were trying to get her to jump did not help the matter, I'd say that is when she slipped out and then they went out of the plan, that was that... but holey f*** that is insane....

What kind of skydiving guide was he?
1.) Don't force someone to jump.
2.) Why isn't she wearing a helmet.
3.) Check your harness and then check it again.

At 1:39 you can see the strap hanging off her shoulder. The harness was much too loose.

Terrible, very unsafe and unprofessional business. I hope they closed that joint and fined them well. The fear she must have gone through falling from the sky losing her harness and no helmet. Incredible!
