The safety record of Car Racing is better than that of public roads, because of all the safety measures being used. It would have to be a pretty severe crash for the Driver and/or Co-driver to actually receive serious/life threatening injuries.

All in all, they would've come out with at least cuts and bruises.

the car was already past him when he reacted & turned... in fact he probably saw the dude hauling ass in his rear view mirror and acted drastically not to lose his position or he just wanted to start the turn early but it happens so fast it's hard to blame anyone

#4 there's no real point for a GT car to "act drastically not to lose his position" against a prototype, considering they don't race in the same category...

#3 the red car(Ferrari) was driven by a rookie driver, and the 'flying car'(Toyota) by a pro driver.

There is stickers on the cars to help drivers to identify pro drivers an rookie drivers.
Toyota driver explain, that he pass 3 cars, the 2 fist were pro, and he can't see, which was the last, he tough, that was also a pro, but when he on the side he realized that was a rookie, and they were turning, i don't know if the red car driver he him or not ... it seems no

There is specifics rules for driving in a race, you can't pass a car if you don't know if the driver in front of you have seen you.
It's not like on the road for everyone.

be hounest, this is why people watch car races in the first place.

if you don't want to handle pain, don't play the game.

This is actually mainly the Toyotas fault. He stayes in the dead angle all the way up to the overtake where he puts himself in the optimal line through the corner, which is where every driver wants to be.
