Why did the cop let the owner get in the car in the first place? Before he was done writing the ticket? Stupid tactical move. And while the driver is 100% at fault the cop seems to act up the foot injury for the camera later knowing the hard extraction and arrest were recorded. I guess that was to be expected.

The cop is probably faking the injury. Why? When I was 14, cop run over my left foot, wearing ordinary sneakers and I didn´t feel no pain. So, I let the cop go.

Is the officer allowed to actually forcibly confine the driver for a parking ticket? He is endangering his own life by standing in front of the car so that he can give the ticket to the driver when all he has to do is say the driver refused the ticket (allowable by law). The court will then proceed to fine him anyway and he will get a notice in the mail for the unpaid ticket (plus extra charges). Also, the officer can politely ask the person recording for a copy of the video as proof.
Cops are people too so that means some can be dicks like everyone else (and many have power trips - ask their wives and neighbours - I have known many from 12 years ER work as well).

Cop was jealous of the car and it clearly looks that he is just overacting as if his foot is hurt just to kick the rich brat's ass......

#5... The cop has no right to stop that dude to enter the vehicle, if that moron is smart enough, he will ask what was his violation... But on his actuation, indicates that he really knew what was his violation and he escalates his stupidity by not respecting the cop and used this Ferrari as a weapon to hit the cop.... just my two cents.

This is priceless. Rich dick... I mean kid gets owned for acting smartass. The only way this could have gotten better was if the cop actually broke the window when he punched it

i dont know about american law but in the uk unless the ticket has been completed and put on the car you can drive off. if it is the same in america ( i dont know) the cop was trying to stop him driving off till he had completed the ticket. dont think the car owner deserves that.

#21 I regret to inform you that you are wrong. From the highway code you should be aware that whilst driving on the roads, you are required to follow any directions given to you by a police constable in uniform. If you got in your car and drove off after being told to stop (no police officer in their right mind would forget to mention that), then I am afraid you are also committing the offence of failing to stop for Police a Officer. Contrary to section 163(3) Road Traffic Act 1988.
I think you may need to go away and read over the highway code... you are obviously rusty and so probably a poor driver as a result.

#25 if a police officer asks you to stop then yes i agree. officers rarely give you a parking ticket tho, this is down to traffic wardens were i am correct about the ticket needs to be completed.
the officer in the video didn't instructed the lad to stop soon enough in my opinion, why allow him to get in the car and casually move in front of it to stop him from moving??? there is no assault charge as the officer provoked the situation by placing his foot under the wheel before asking to stop.
i still believe the officer is in the wrong and i would love to know the actually outcome of it all.
and finally for your information, i have had my car license for 8 years, full bike license for 4 years. passed both first time, have had no endorsements and no penalties. i believe that speaks for my driving capabilities.

Wow. Lots of comments on this video. I seriously doubt that there is anything that the cop did wrong. The Ferrari driver first parked illegally then he simultaneously failed to obey a police officer and committed assault with a vehicle. So three charges against him. You could maybe argue that the cop was using excessive force but that would be a hard sell after the assault and I'll bet the cop says the guy resisted arrest. The cop may have to consider whether it is worth a broken foot to finish writing a ticket in the future though.
