My theory:

Van was going off to its right (probably driver was not paying attention) and when the driver realized he was going into the trees he swerved hard to his left. A combination of centrifugal force and not wearing a seat belt pushed him against the door. For some reason the door opened and he fell...

That's what I think. :S

so in Russia, when u drive a 4wd, it's a must to have a live cam on, recording the road ahead. 8-)

That was a passenger. If you notice the vehicle recording was driving on the right. That makes it a left side driving car. So therefore he had to be a passenger.

I believe he was the driver - in Russia's far east they have a lots of imported RHD cars from Japan.
