i don't know if it's just me but every time he says a new temp, i imagine a piece of metal that hot dumped in water and then see how big the water vapor explosion would be!

The word Kugelblitz originates from germany and could be translated into lightningball or something similar. In common language you also call rather fat people running fast a Kugelblitz, so not always appropriate as a compliment. :P

He actually makes a minor error at the 1:10 mark when he states that the hottest temp on earth was 129F. I had just read an article that it got up to 134F (56.67C) back in 1913 in Death Valley. It is just a few degrees but when talking records, that counts. Read more at this link:
