Thats so crazy how the land just keeps moving down and down again. I feel bad if anyone was on that mountain when it occurred

its clearly a controlled landslide.
other wise it would be a bit random to flim it at the exact time
and those barriers would be in a bit too extact place.
but still really cool!

Soundtrack sounds authentic to me. Hope this is not Quebec or Vancouver - but my heart goes out to those who are living there - where-ever .... Can we learn where this is and when this happend? Yes, life is brief.

Listening to the guy that was yelling, and looking at the style of power pole, I would say that this occurred in a country in Asia.

I agree with Manycheese...it looks like it's controlled. Otherwise it's bizarre that the camera would be set up at exactly the right place/time. BUT - if it was controlled - wouldn't you disconnnect the electrical cables 1st?? I'm confused. Any additional info would be appreciated.

OK...now I hate myself. I swore I'd never post a comment asking for more info about anything on any website before trying to look it up myself. 10 seconds on Google brought up this result http://www.guzer.com/videos/big_landslide.php which is the same as this video - plus an aerial shot at the end (as opposed to an areola shot, which would be a different type of video altogether)that shows the extent of the damage.
Another link from an NBC news station confirms that it was in Japan back in 2004.

it can be real. they put barricade on the road. they know that it will be happened so they are ready to film it.

'course it's fake. If you look closely you can see a frame around the vid. Then there are these strange symbols just above that on a white ground and... wait a minute its on my Mac! See, its a virtual landslide. Didn't fool me for a second. And before anyone says it, yes I'm a fuckin' A retard!!!
