Rider Error Close Calls
Mulholland Hwy has been a top destination for riders in Southern California for many years. The Snake section is a little over two miles long. The turns are tight, limiting speed and injuries in the event of a crash. And there are many crashes but also great riding.
The road is public but considered a recreational use area. All rules of the road apply but motorcycle and auto enthusiasts are considered part of the tradition of the area.
At the top of the Snake there is a park maintained overlook.

So many highsiders for no apparent reason? There is something wrong with that road...

Two miles long? That's baby shit! The Tail Of the Dragon is a stretch of road from North Carolina to Tennessee that is 318 curves in 11 miles. It's Mecca for motorcycles. I've taken my bike over it and it's like an adult roller coaster. Highly recommend and the ride through the countryside of NC to get to it is fantastic!
