The chords are different depending on the key.
I play it Am F C G.
The vast majority of songs follow this pattern.

and why do you think the songs of the 50's and 60's are still so popular? They were all the same style and this is why the Beatles were so successful, John and Paul played around with very similar chords :)

It's the I vi IV V progression; just play it in any order add the major scale and some good lyrics for a hit. Why don't you do the I IV V now that's the most common progression?
