Answer: Because that's their raison d'etre.
Their desire to become mods, derives from a strong need for power. In real life they're probably weak and unimportant people who crave respect, but are unable to achieve it. But as mods they suddenly become all-powerful, and wield the censor's sword as often as possible, probably achieving simultaneous orgasm. Sad really, but there you have it.

#5 Your comment in itself is a dead giveaway, revealing how important you think you are. This site will 'keep going' quite nicely without meddling from any mods. It always puzzles me why sites such as Snotr go to the trouble of providing Comments sections, when they then do their level best to control the comments placed there.
Mods could learn a lot by reflecting on the well-known quote from Voltaire. It went 'something' like this: "I disagree with everything you say, but will defend until death your right to say it."
Sadly, the prevailing attitude among mods here and virtually everywhere appears to be: "I disagree with everything you say, so I have no intention of letting you say it."

The reason why snotr is my homepage is because of the quality achieved by the mods' work. If they thought of themselves as all-poweful you wouldn't be able to rate their comments. They are watching over us, they do it with respect and that's what's making this website a civilized place. I am grateful that such people exist in the Word Wide Wilderness. Thank you!

as for me, i came here to enjoy watching the vids. It surprises me esp if there's a new upload. I don't care much of the comments esp from people who think they are expert in everything by just reading stuff from the internet.

#3 it could not be said anybetter, absolutley spot on. easily the single best comment on this entire site, i wish they would change it to their motto.
#5 your right on too, bravo. but in their defense its must be a nice break between reading up on wikipedia so they can act like they are experts on any given subject, and playing WoW in their underwear.
