Just another example of how terribly flawed the "Greatest democracy in the world" is. The whole system is corrupt: the political lobbying system is simply bribery and kickbacks; only those rich enough to afford the campaign trail can possibly run to be elected; the rich own the media which is the only way to become a public face and so win sufficient votes.
Greatest plutocracy in the world more like it.

Let's address why the BP oil spill happened. #1 There has been a ban in place on shallow water oil drilling for over a decade now, Put in place by democrats. #2 Drilling for oil in deep water is very risky and few companies even take the risk. #3 Oil companies have an excellent record for land and shallow water drilling, Not so for deep water drilling. #4 If BP had been allowed to drill in safer shallow water it would've done and it would've been safer. #5 BP oil's largest political contribution in the 2008 election was for Obama, McCain/Palin didn't receive a dime from BP.

#17 All good points and completely true but the America haters could care less about the truth. Trying to make a political point by using the disaster in the Gulf is reprehensible. The British company BP has been making "political contributions" to politicians in the US and other countries for many years but the disaster occured because of the wacko-environmentalists lobbying to stop shallow water drilling.Obama owes BP for helping him get elected which is why he took 3 months to even get involved.

So, why aren't there any Democrats listed in this video? They took money from Big Oil. The newspaper I work for ran a story earlier this year about our senator (Bernie Sanders who claims to never take money from big companies) attending a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser in Miami where he was rubbing shoulders with lobbyists and other reps from Wall Street, Big Banks, Big Pharma and BIG OIL!
BOTH have taken money from Big Oil. The difference is that Republicans want to drill on land where it's more controlled and safer with less chance of an environmental disaster. Democrats want it somewhere out of sight and out of mind of their "environmentalist" friends. Which is WAY out at sea.
BTW, isn't it funny how the biggest environmental disaster ever has suddenly vanished? Suddenly nobody is talking about it! Hmmmmmm.......

@21: You said it. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee retreat in Miami was a one day event that took place shortly after President Obama's State of the Union address in January. At the retreat 11 Democrat senators schmoozed with representatives from 129 big corporations and lobbyists, including banks and financial institutions, oil companies, insurance companies, big pharmaceutical companies, labor unions and many others. Those corporations and lobbyists paid $30,000 each to attend the retreat.
Big corporations, big labor unions, big lobbyists - pay big money to politicians in exchange for even bigger paybacks from big government, at the expense of working class Americans who can no longer afford to pursue their own dreams and goals. It's been going on for more than 150 years. The corporations, the unions, the lobbyists - they may be greedy and corrupt to the core, but they're not stupid. They wouldn't keep paying if they weren't getting what they were paying for.
Democrats and Republicans have been running this country for more than 150 years. Either the screwed up way things are is the way they want them to be, or they are pathetically incompetent, or they are corrupt to the core. They are nothing but two criminal organizations competing for the same turf. If things keep going the way they are, our government will soon be as corrupt and oppressive and disrespectful of the people as the governments of Europe, and the majority of our people will be just as whipped and subdued as the people of Europe.
If you want to see real change in America, in future elections, beginning this November, do not vote for Democrats or Republicans. If they are the only choices on your ballot, then always vote against the incumbent. Vote them out.

@24: Your IQ may be a little too high. Plus, you need verifiable experience at stealing large sums of money and getting away with it.
