blanks on the 50.cal and a small remote triggered explosive in the watermellon.

#6 Yeah, even with a "trained" professional that is extremely dangerous. That was most likely a fake.

The guy with the watermelon on his head is Freddie Wong aka "freddiew". He is a former film student who now spends his time creating videos for his YouTube channel. If you go to his channel or his website you can view his entire library of films. After each film he gives you a behind the scenes look of how the shot the video and how it was edited in Adobe After Effects.
For this film a real 50. cal round was shot at the washing machine you see at the end of the field and nobody was on the field. After the gun was fired, Freddie went out on the field with the Watermelon on his head. A fire cracker hidden inside the watermelon caused it to explode.
The two separate videos were then combined into this single video, giving you a very convincing video. The only short-coming that they had was the .50 cal bullet would have hit the hill behind him and kicked up a pile of dirt.

no doubt its fake... if it was a real shot more of the watermelon would have gone backwards. not everywhere equally

Dont get to excited lol.....it IS a fake, I have already seen the video where they show how it was done....pretty cool though i must admit.
The was a very small explosive charge in the melon, they took two shots of it and combined them to give the resulting video, nicely done though as i said :-)

Ye firing an anti material rifle at a guy is a risk you just cant take. Plus, the sights would not have been configured for a target that close. They use those things to take out aircraft(while stationary), they dont even target enemy soldiers with them...apart from in CoD.

#22 Long range target shooting and competitions are the main uses for the 50 cal. They have become very popular in the States and many companies are offering them for sale.I have not heard of any criminal use of these weapons.Hitting the bullseye on a target at over a mile will put a smile on your face.
