Clearly a front-running and leading candidate for a future "Darwin Award". He apparently shows here that he meets all of the requirements, (well, one anyway, but that's all that is required) and he shows the world here that he has clearly taken the initiative in pursuit of that honor.... ;)

My own personal belief is that he will succeed in winning a Darwin sooner than he or others viewing this display believe.

You people have obviously never seen a real fast-draw competition or record revolver shooting. All fast draw artists must react to a signal, draw, cock and shoot from the hip - targeting just takes practice. As far as the ability to shoot fast with a revolver, the current record is 5 shots in 45/100 second by Ed McGivern in 1932. He was 58 at the time. The closest time to appoach McGivern's record is by current fast-shot revolver artist Jerry Miculek, endorsed by Smith & Wesson and current record holder for many world shooting records with revolvers, including 8 shots (from an 8 shot revolver) in 1 second. His 5 shot attempt was recorded at .57 seconds (57/100th). His shooting isn't just speed - he's shooting at targets for accuracy as well. His grouping and speed have to be seen to be believed.

Note that there are different types of drawn weapon competitions. Quick-Draw, Cowboy Action and Fast-Draw all are different competitions. Fast-Draw competitions use both blanks and wax bullets, but regardless of what they're using, rules state that the shooter must start with a holstered weapon, hand not touching the gun. The match begins with an audible or visual cue - the time is recorded by a wax bullet hitting a metal plate or a ballon popping for blanks. World-class shooters can draw and fire under a 1/2 second. The current record for open-style, standing, with blanks is .206, which includes the reaction time. Reaction times for the best fast draw shooters is 0.145 seconds, which means that the gun is cocked, drawn, aimed (from the hip), and fired in just over 0.06 seconds.

Fast-draw competitors typically are required to take on an "alter-ego" and name. Period clothing and hardware is also required.

USANumber1,
Suicides by gunshot to the head don't always go all the way through. Depends on where the barrel is place, how close, and caliber.

The song at 3:07 asked about by Twofeathers in post 179, is the 1981 Sugarhill Gang song "Apache". In 1996, Sir Mix-a-Lot played off of the lyrics of Apache and released his version called "Jump On It".

The Sugarhill Gang song Apache was actually a cover of the version of the song from "The Incredible Bongo Band", which they had covered from the original tune by the 60's band, "The Shadows". SG just added rap lyrics and their own style.

"Apache" is also known as "The Shadows Song", as the Shadows were the first band to release it in July, 1960. It has been covered by many other artists since then.
