Officer Rivieri is probably just an overworked cop tired of getting disrespected by jerkoff kids.
Almost all skateboarders think they can throw their boards down anywhere and grind and skate where ever they please. In my town I had a boarder who was grinding on a 911 memorial in our park. When I asked him why he would do such a thing as disrespect the memories of people who lost their lives in one of our nation’s biggest tragedies, he stated that it was perfect for grinding and if they didn't want people to grind on it why did they make it perfect for grinding.
Imagine the mindset of this jackass. The problem is lack of respect, the situation would not have gotten that far if the kid had called him officer instead of dude. He is a police officer and should be given that due respect and if the kid had answered his questions properly it would have never got out of hand. Yes, I have to admit he lost control a little, but given that he probably has to tell kids to stop skating there every day, it gets old. If some of the kids learn a little respect things would not get out of hand.
The officer getting suspended means every little jerkoff with a video camera will try to setup the police and act as the victim when the tax payers are the real victims. Victims of the property damage skates inflict on the towns walls, sidewalks, monuments and anything they deem grindable.
Cops are people too and have emotions and mood swings just like everyone else and there isn't a cop out there that doesn't. So cut us a break, don't talk back and listen and you may find we will help keep you out of trouble. Thanks NJcop.
