So sad that anybody just wants to die.

Once they got the strap off her neck and laid her down, why not move her off the road? No reason to hold others up. Had she really wanted to die, she wouldn't have done it in the middle of the road in public.
I like how the guy asked for a t-shirt for her head and the other guy doesn't offer his sweater. Either he wasn't thinking or he's one of those guys.
Really sad no one tried to help her before he got there, unfortunately the only ones that could see what's happening is the first car or two. The rest are just lemmings. Good man.

I only took one guy to break the ice and motivate the other cowards to help as well.
That's why you should always be the icebreaker.
I defended humanity on SNOTR a lot recently and asserted that the urge to help is an innate human feature. Seems I was pretty naive...

#8 True..it always needs an icebreaker and suddenly everybody wants to help..wich is sad.
I really dont get the situation..why are they waiting in line? When i want to drive somewhere and there is something blocking the way, i try to remove it. If its a living object i even run faster to see whats up. Only thing missing is that the front cars start to honk at her.
And #5 is also right. In her eyes it was a suicide attempt, but its more a cry for help. (Been there, done that..well..not while sitting on a road.)
For people in that state of depression its the last straw they see..that they dont want to take but give it a try.
You got to know depression to understand her action.

It's unbelievable that so many people just stood and watched, both before and after he showed up.
