Future Fire Truck Concept - Great Animation
Is the Fire Truck of the Future this Wild Gyroscopic Vehicle? The year is 2037. A skyscraper is in flames. A fire truck speeds to put out the fire, but traffic is at a standstill. Big problem, right? Not for this wonderfully imaginative design for the fire truck of tomorrow, which can elevate above traffic and glide between cars on wheels supported by a pair of gyroscopic columns. And that doesn’t even get us to the huge drone waiting to be deployed when the fire truck reaches the blaze.

And the laws of Physics regarding balance seem to have been drastically altered. Hooray for the future!

#3 Did you notice the heavy power cable that followed the drone as it climbed higher? A drone capable of flying and carrying people and a water supply as imagined here would require a huge amount of electric power which would be supplied by the ground unit. Rechargeable would not be an option. (Maybe nuclear power could do it) ????

Someone with an article about the technology and science?

#4 Do you want to tell me there is no water with that power cable? where is all the water then? in those tanks for counter weight?Maybe some sticky foam?
Also this counter weight means that you cant fight fire on both sides. might be a bit inconvenient.
Anyway im sure plugs for water and power can be installed on buildings on every level or 2nd or 3rd.
Also i feel like big buildings should have fleet of drones like extinguishers.
There is not much need for those mono track wheels.
Cars will be automated so the network will know to move away even before people will see firemen coming.
Also i hope this might finally mean no more sirens.
As for nuclear lets assume its not safe to have shit loads of nuclear reactors driving around waiting for someone or something to make it a dirty bomb.

#6 Remember , this is just an animation of a concept that would go through many alterations before ever becoming reality.
The power cable could not also be carrying water because for one thing it was too small. I would guess the yellow tank would be
some compressed air to power the fire-retardant ball cannons and the red tanks would be compressed fire retardant foam, not water.
Having the tanks fold back (as shown) for counter weight for loading passengers is a good idea.
Maybe with a small yet powerful engine/generator for power it could be also used to fly rescued people to a safe place.

#8 Yeah and this futuristic view doesnt consider network of cars that will be able to get information about fire location and routes of fire trucks so in-the-way-cars will move out of the way.
How convenient was this animation without any big cars or pick ups delivery cars and so on to use this mono trail.

I guess this puts into another perspective. if there are designed lanes for 2nd and 3rd level traffic.
i found this link when i was thinking that it better to have 1 gyroscopic column. Somehow i feel its easier to control one leg than 2.

From what I know in most countries, when an automobile hears a siren, its mandatory by law to reduce speed and pull to the right (maybe left on England and other countries that drive that way ).
While the concept is cool, I don't know how practical it is. The drone firefighter delivery also looks nice but I don't know how viable its also, given the weight constraint of the motors.
Overall a nice idea but not a good concept.

And that's assuming there are no trucks on the streets, or can this thing raise further?
