The poor kid doesn't have a father. Maybe officer RivierI (I'd be angry if I had a lame name like Rivieri too. It's not even cool, like RivierA might be) or someone else worthy of respect, like the Badge or the Whole Department (they're probably thinking "how did we get dragged into this?) can put a "foot in his butt." I'm not even gonna GO where that could lead.

Maybe the kid is related to W., that's why the cop was suspended. It was all stupid and I'm sure they both learned their lesson - Kid: suck up when necessary, Cop: bullying doesn't help in all situations.

I'd be angry too if I had to wear that stupid outfit and drive that little clown car, that the pig can't even fit into.

The kid does need to learn to say "yes sir" a couple of times to make power freaks like that happy. It doesn't cost a lot to try to appease the freaks, and the pay off is great. So, "furious" mom, at least teach him to suck up when necessary. We all do it.
