I'm ashamed to say that I like venison but I don't have it very often because it's a little deer :(|) :squirrel:

#4 & #5 Venison is deer meat, not baby deer meat. I have never heard of a hunter taking a fawn on purpose.
Venison is not similar to veal as far as the maturity of the animal.

Not a hunter, but friends that are, but I'm sure here the deer has to be a certain size before you can hunt it, and very few antlerless licenses available anyways...but man, the guy still better be looking for ticks....lyme disease is a real b..ch! :squirrel:

Considering how young that thing is, it has 0% survival chance on its own. What happened to the mother is my question...

#11 In England the word deer or dear would often be used to mean expensive as explained by Bob marley man. It would be used is sentences like "We don't go to that shop any more because it's a bit dear" or "He does a good job but he's a bit deer (expensive). :squirrel:

#15 I got what #9 meant but he used the wrong spelling of dear for meaning pricey.
Deer is not used for meaning expensive in either American or British dictionaries. (i)

#18 What about dmmmmqr? (4M's and a silent Q - Monty Pythonism)? :) Sorry, just trying to add a little humour to this war. You are right, btw.

#6 Thanks so much for the research! Great video!

The mom obviously left because she couldn't stick around with all the predators. She had to ultimately leave the weak one behind. Animals do have feelings for their young, though they don't show it like we expect it of human beings. We always love it when animals show reactions similar to us, but in all honesty, they are nothing like us, nor are they like each other.

Thundersnow, my love ;), there is nothing wrong with being an omnivore. It's a choice. But just like Rick said to Carl in "The Walking Dead", "...Don't name them". Being a vegetarian is also a choice, but it should be done for the right reasons, and there should be a lot of research done before you venture out. Certain vitamins and proteins are needed and present in meats, and are only available in a few vegetables and legumes, and, depending on what type of vegetarianism you are looking to get into, minerals and oils too.

Judgement Day Jake, I have to disagree. It just seems apparent that you made a mistake and that you want to argue for the sake of arguing. Can you please provide proof?

Oops - lol - forgot to add that I do love your sense of humour, tho! :)

#20 ;) I do agree with you, as I am not a vegetarian, I feel I need the protein to feel balanced physically, if that makes any sense, I know I will never be a vegetarian, however...if I had to kill an animal to eat meat (not to survive, bc that is obvious) just for a meal, I could not...unless I was dying of starvation..., but indirectly I do kill animals every time I buy meat at the supermarket...which I have no problem doing...hmmmm....product of a typically suburban society maybe...okay I will stop thinking out loud now, but thanks for listening <3 >:) :squirrel:
