Pretty tough little buggers to live in those conditions. Wonder how they'll do with the oil spilling out at the same debth in the Gulf of Mexico?

it's got nothing to do with moving - the pressure takes effect on every inch of your body

0:24 I wonder whether it swelled up while being pulled towards the surface? :D

#1 you think they are tough because you compare them to humans. But think about it.... humans have lungs and the pressure would destroy your ability to get air into them. these fish don't have that problem.
Bats live in darkness and seals live in freezing temperatures.
This fish is a true survivor, but that hardly makes it tough. Sure...it's tough compared to a human.

If you where one of those fish and you would have heard about humans you would be like :

-> they can survive out of water
-> live in hot places like Florida
-> they made suits to help them survive in space

Jesus ! those humans are tough mother fuckers!

It's too bad our submarines can't go that deep. We can't stop the oil. The fish should be okay, because the oil floats. Different story for us surface dwellers both in and out of the ocean. But they are really cool fish.

"1056 elephants standing on the roof of a car..."
-Why can't people just use normal measurement units...
Trying to put these things in "perspective" is retarded, - there is way to much of this sort of thing lately.

#9 Could be they used weak light and very light sensitive cameras, and/or modified the images afterwards, besides the hadal snailfish doesen't have so light sensitive eyes

We know more about the surface of the moon then we do about the depths of our oceans.

#13 You are absolutely right. It is long past time for the other deities to start pulling their own weight.

I have been saying for years that I want to hear people saying Allahdamnit! or Buddhadamnit! or Odindamnit!

If they want equal time, put in the effort! >:)
