I imagine how hard it would be for a train driver to slice someone in half ... it would be really a life shock

I was always wondering...Should those trains slow down near populated areas!?!? Or...are they slowing down at all? 
But still those are very stupid actions by those irresponsible people!

The one at 1:30 is obviously fake. Apart from that great vid. Some of those people are very very lucky. But some of them look so stupid that they will eventually die by jumping into a lion's cage or something anyway.

Would you slow down on the motorway because you are driving near populated areas?
The chance of an idiot crossing the street is as small as one crossing the tracks... You can't take every dumbass into account in this world

#7 Well said , Would be like telling rally drivers to slow down around the corners , but must say its nice for once to see a near miss comp and not people getting hurt bad just almost killed this time

The canadian train company created a road sign to educate unthinking people about caution around tracks and trains:
“Be Smart. Look. Listen. Live.”
There's a lot of those signs in Montreal city...

#26 no, why? You should always stay away from the platform edge, then trains passing at speed are no problem. Sometimes I would like them to signal though, especially in case of a belated express train passing the station at the minute you would expect your commuter train.

#26 Would you expect drivers to slow down near a service station on a motorway? Humans cross roads to get to the other side, with rules involved and even helpful things like zebra crossings etc. When it comes to railways, use the bridge or tunnel. No argue. If you argue, you become famous as an idiot on snotr, or even get your name written in stone.
