it sounded awesome until the engine went bang.
would have loved to have seen the horsepower it had as well

they have a big fan in the front blowing at the radiator, so i dont think it was the cooling that was the problem. ![]()
And btw i think they know what they'r doing. tuning a car comes with trouble and it didnt sound that serious either. they surely dont have to throw the engine at the junkyard ![]()
that's my dream car... i'll have one someday even if i can't drive it cause it cost's to much from gas station to gas station ![]()
That isn't a stock GT500,it has been modified up to over 800 engine horsepower and they made a mistake doing a WOT dyno run in 3rd gear.
Here is the aftermath of that run and an explaination from the owner.

You can see the RPM light turn on and they kept the RPMs way too high for way too long. There's a reason why cars have those installed. So you don't blow your engine.
#7 beg to differ. i've had a ford ranger since i was 16 and the only repairs i've had to do on it are normal repairs that you have to do on vehicles. i'll never buy anything other than a ranger unless i win the lottery...haha.

#7 Don't forget "Found On Road Deserted", or "First On Race Day" if you're redneckin' a demolition derby.

#9 If that's your car of your life it will be a highway. That car can only go fast in a straight line, so i hope you got plenty of straight motorways where you live when you get one. Im sure you'll afford one soon since they are not that expensive.
Why would anyone blow an engine on a car unless they thought the had a $200,000 engine in a $40,000 car they could continue to red line without a load. This is production car, dummies.
Those mechanics had incorrect Dyno equipment for the test it should have load on the rear end not jacked up as they did in start here is a eg of a proper dyno test http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cZ2ueh_je4&feature=related
if i was that guy i would get them to replace the engine for free .
#27 You need to look at it again.....what you see is a restraining strap being ratcheted down tight, not a "jack".
