I've read a book about VW's advertising campaigns, from the 40's to present day. The VW advertising team could convince eskimos they needed to buy more ice.

I guess what we learn from this is: Don't buy a used Volkswagen because no matter how innocent the previous owner looks, it probably suffered a lot.
